Lorraine "Renee" M. Olson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, dear mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2015, in hospice with family surrounding her. She fought a long battle with heart disease.

Lorraine was born April 5, 1941, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. She met and married Rolf Olson of Bozeman, Montana, in 1969 and later divorced in 1979. Living in Bozeman for over 30 years, her long time career included Life of Montana, Doane Western and Powerhouse Gaming. She relocated to Las Vegas in 2000 with Anchor Gaming.

Lorraine loved tennis and played in the local Bozeman leagues which included traveling around Montana as well as western states. She also volunteered for the Intermountain Opera Association of Bozeman for many years. An avid tourist, she enjoyed traveling around the United States and Europe throughout her life, including trips to France in recent years with her sister, Viki. She dedicated lots of attention and love for her three grandsons and spent as much free time and summers after her retirement at her cabin near West Yellowstone.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lorraine McEwen; her uncle, John "Jack" Heffinger; her sister, Victoria Cooper; her brothers, Gordon and Stuart McEwen.

Survivors include her only daughter, Robin Doerr, and her husband, Jeff, of Phoenix, Arizona; grandsons: Nathan, Nicolas and Noah Doerr of Phoenix; brother, Alfred McEwen of Tempe, Arizona; brother-in-law, Stanley Cooper; aunt, Nona Heffinger; nieces: Katie McEwen of Belgrade, Montana, Jennifer Olsen and Tracy Morehouse; nephews: Kip Goldsmith, Alex McKean, Gordon, and George Cooper; and numerous cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering of family and friends near Gallatin Canyon will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local ASPCA / Animal Shelter or local Opera or Symphony organization.
