Louis Philip Maspero passed away at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
The Guest Book is expired.
Lou lived in Bozeman with his daughter, son-in-law, and two great-granddaughters. At 97, he still had a great sense of humor.
He lived his first 93 years in southern California. During the Depression, he worked hard each summer to help his family. As a young man, he worked for the C.C.C. and later, for Douglas Aircraft as a first-class aircraft machinist.
After the war, he started his own business making wood screens for windows and doors. He then became a real estate broker and retired at the age of 49 to play golf.
Lou is survived by three children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in California.
Memorials in Lou's name may be made to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, 602 Bond St., Bozeman 59715. Lou was always one to help when he could.
Condolences to the family may be made at www.dahlcares.com.
