Loyce was born Aug. 1, 1921, the youngest child of Elijah "Lige" and Addie (Carroll) Masters. She attended Hubbard County, Wash., schools through the eighth grade and graduated from Colfax High School in Colfax, Wash.

On Nov. 11, 1941, she married Alfred "Bud" O'Halloran in Colfax. They had three children: Joan, Kay and Michael. The family lived and ranched near Oaksdale and Tekoa, Wash., until 1950 when they moved to Clyde Park, purchased a ranch, and began raising grain and cattle. Bud died in February 1985, and Loyce continued to live on the ranch until 1990 when she moved to Bozeman.

Loyce was a member of Cowbells in Clyde Park, and for many years she volunteered with RSVP in Bozeman. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, traveling, reading and crocheting. She visited the ranch in Clyde Park often and enjoyed seeing the crops in the fields.

In addition to her husband, Loyce was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lola (Masters) Appel and Nava (Masters) Pendergrass; and two grandsons, Brian O'Halloran and Stuart Shahan.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Knodel of Wilsall and Kay (Marshall) Miller of Spokane, Wash.; a son, Michael O'Halloran of Wilsall; grandchildren, Kevin (Toka) Knodel of Chesapeake, Va., Holly Knodel of Livingston, Shannon Knodel of Bozeman, Katrina (Ross) Rambo of Spangle, Wash., Angela (O'Halloran) Anno of Vancouver, Wash., Brent O'Halloran of Livingston, Brandon (Mariah) O'Halloran of Lewistown, and Adam and Miles O'Halloran, both of Wilsall; and eight great-grandchildren.
