Lyle E. Kellie, 76, of Anaconda passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, due to complications from injuries sustained in a fall.

Lyle was born on Nov. 28, 1932, in Belgrade to Albert and Velma Kellie. He held various jobs including working for the Anaconda Company as a smelterman from 1965 until the smelter closed in 1980. He then transferred to Montana Resources until his retirement.
He joined the Marine Corps in 1952 and served in the Korean War. Lyle was honorably discharged after the war.
On Jan. 1, 1965, he married Mardi Keller in Belgrade. They moved to Anaconda shortly thereafter.
Lyle was a member of the Anaconda congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and active in their organization.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, rock collecting, and his postcard collection.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Velma Kellie; sister, Naomi; grandson, Jonathan D. Kellie; and others.
Survivors include his wife, Mardi; his brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Evaline Kellie of Belgrade; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Frank Chapman of Belgrade, and Maxine and Ernest Atchley of Texas; daughters, Dianna Kellie, Kim Bell (Kellie), Becky Isaacson; and son-in-law, Jerry Isaacson; his son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Jessica of Ohio; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jessa Kellie, Shawn and Katie Bell; and numerous other relatives.
A service of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 100 N. Elm St., Anaconda.
