Madeline Mae "Maddy" Allen, 74, of Three Forks passed away Friday evening, July 13, at St. Vincents hospital in Billings from injuries she sustained in a single car traffic accident near Livingston.
She was born Oct. 5, 1932 in Nevis, Minn., one of eleven children born to Earl & Nina (Phillips) Bridell. Madeline graduated from Nevis High School and journeyed to Montana on a bus ticket that was a graduation gift from her uncles that resided here. She met Terence Allen in Three Forks and it was obvious to her that she only needed a one-way ticket. They later united in marriage on Nov. 2, 1950 and would then spend over 55 years in the area. Together they owned and operated the Laundry Village for many years. Madeline was a very active member of the Three Forks community. She was a Member of the Progress Rebekah Lodge of Three Forks. She later became a member of the Montana Rebekah Assembly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Terence Allen; her two sons Jeffrey and Bruce Allen and grandson Travis Allen.
She survived by her sons Tom (Eunice) Allen of Bozeman; Rod (Sue) Allen of Radersburg; daughters Phyllis (Pat) Livengood of Belgrade; her grandchildren Desirae; Nathan; Tiffany; Shane; Nick; Tanya; Tony; Tracy; Christopher; Lindsay; Cory; Christina; Chelsea; & Shaelyn; her eight great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law Donald Bridell of St. Louis Park; Roy (Eleanor) Bridell of Ridgecrest, N.C.; Larry (Susie) Bridell of Ore City, Texas; Durwood (Marsha) Bridell of Andover, Minn; Ray (Brenda) Bridell of Rogers, Minn; Ken of Eau Claire, Wis.; her four sisters Leone Kubiszewski of Crystal, Minn.; Deloris (Virgil) Hamblin of Stillwater, Minn.; Alice (Bernie)
Larson of Ivins, Utah; Arlyis (Dick) Kerr of Minneapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The most important thing in this world to Madeline was her family. She reveled in being surrounded by them during holiday occasions and family gatherings.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the United Methodist Church of Three Forks with Pastor Linda Fritz presiding. The Progess Rebekah Lodge of Three Forks will provide the Rebekah Lodge portion of the funeral service. Interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery in Three Forks immediately following the funeral service Memorial donations maybe given in Madeline name to the Progress Rebekah Lodge of Three Forks or to the United Methodist Church of Three Forks
