Margaret E. (McCusker) McCauley passed from this life to her next in peaceful sleep.

She was born and raised in Bozeman. She attended public school and Montana State University, where she was quite popular. She was voted rodeo queen and was quite active in social circles.

The granddaughter of Bozeman pioneer John Border, her mother was Edna Border and her father, Kirby McCusker.

Margaret moved to Tracy, Calif., in the 1940s, where she remained until her passing. Her husband, Britain, preceded her in death.

She was active in hospital auxiliary for 44 years. She was a friend to many people. She had a good life.

Margaret leaves behind three nephews, their wives and descendants. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at Hotchkiss Mortuary in Tracy, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Pets and Pals, 12488 S. Harlan Road, Lathrop, CA 95330.
