Margaret M. Mattila passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, in Bozeman, Montana, at the age of 89.

She was born Feb. 10, 1927, in Bozeman to Ellis J. Callantine and Rachael (Gates) Callantine. She graduated from Gallatin County High School in 1945. She moved to Billings, Montana, where she ran the bookstore at Eastern Montana College. Margaret met John L. Mattila in Billings and they were married March 15, 1949.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Sonna Carlucci, granddaughter, Rochelle Carlucci, and grandson, Justin Mattila, all of California; granddaughters, Sadie and Kaitlyn of Arizona; brother, Jason Callantine; sisters, Lorraine Russell and Winifred Ward; and six great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary; grandson, Ty Carlucci; and sister, Ursula Chamberlain.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at Sunset Hills Cemetery with Ken Mottram officiating. A reception will follow at First Baptist Church in Bozeman.
