Mark A. Weaver, Bonneville Idaho County Deputy Sheriff, 46, of Hamer, died after a boating accident Thursday at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He is the son of Rev. John R. Weaver, former Pastor of Christian Center Church for more than two decades. Mark grew up in Bozeman, attended local schools, and later moved to Idaho. He was boating alone when his boat capsized. He was listed in critical condition after being pulled unconscious from the 46-degree water an hour later. The rescue was hampered by strong winds and high waves.

A news release from the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office states that a memorial fund has been established at East Idaho Credit Union under Mark Weaver Memorial Fund for those who wish to donate to the family. Mark is survived by his wife, Sheryl; brother, Rev. John Weaver Jr. of Hamilton; sister, Andrea Kenney of Billings; and father, Rev. John R. Weaver of Kalispell.
