Mark Leo Kleffner was born Friday, May 13, 1949, in Great Falls to Helen (Johnson) and Leo Kleffner, both of Belt. Due to complications from a brain tumor, he died July 3, 2007, with his wife by his side at their Missoula home.

Mark graduated from Hardin High School in 1968, studied architecture and received his bachelor's degree in history from Montana State University. He also attended The University of Montana in Missoula, where he was later employed as a mail carrier until August 2005.
Mark is survived by his four sisters, Margaret Nydell of Arlington, Va., Maxine Benedict of Helena, Marilyn Hoffman and Millie Karol, both of Carson City, Nev. He has numerous cousins in the Great Falls-Helena area; along with aunts, Christine Armstrong of Missoula and Laura Yeater of Reno, Nev.; and uncles, Paul Kleffner of East Helena and Phil Kleffner of Belt.
Survivors also include his co-workers and many friends; his old cat, Thomas; and his adoring wife of three years, Susan Clark Moran.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held in the fall.
