Longtime Ennis resident Mary (Baker) Shows passed away peacefully Aug. 25, 2007, at Generations Assisted Living.
The Guest Book is expired.
Mary and her husband Gene moved to Ennis in 1963, where Gene worked for MPC at the Madison Power Plant. Mary raised her five children, then returned to Western Montana College to get her teaching degree. She taught in the Ennis Grade School for a number of years.
Mary was an avid reader and bowler; after her retirement, she and Gene enjoyed bowling and traveling to see their children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her beloved Gene in 2001. She struggled with his loss and her battle with dementia. Until recently, she could be seen daily on her many walks to the park and frequent trips to the library. We wish to thank all those who kept an ever watchful eye out for her safety.
Mary is survived by her children, Monty (Mychelle), Joel (Sherri), Karla (Jeff) Rusow, Stephanie (Melvin) Hagl, and Tater (Debbie); 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Baker; and brother, Bill Baker.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church, the Rev. Vern Grotzke officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the Madison Valley Library.
K&L Mortuaries & Crematory of Ennis is in charge of arrangements.
