BUTTE -- Mary Catherine "Mary Kay" Cooper, 85, passed away peacefully July 12, 2008, at St, James Healthcare in Butte.

Mary Kay was born in Lewiston, Idaho, on Jan. 8, 1923, to Arthur and Rose (Booher) Flint. She received her schooling in Phillipsburg, graduating from Granite County High School in 1940.
Mary Kay married Ray Clinton in 1945 in Missoula. He passed away in 1959.
In 1960, she married William "Bill" Cooper in Manhattan, and together they raised their blended family. Bill passed away in 2005.
Mary Kay was a member of Manhattan Bible Church since 1960, a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and Rebekka Lodges. She enjoyed league bowling, reading, and solving crossword puzzles.
Mary Kay is survived by her children, Carol Rae (Clinton) Allen and husband, Don of Tillamook, Ore., Dennis Clinton Sr. of St. Matthews, S.C., Vicki (Clinton) Manning of Butte, Betty (Cooper) Olson and husband, Harold of Conrad, Beverly (Cooper) Mason and husband, Doug of North Liberty, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Alfred and Curtis Flint.
Memorial services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, July 28, at Manhattan Bible Church. Private interment of ashes will be in Manhattan Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
