Mary Doyle died peacefully in her sleep early in the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was at home, surrounded by family and friends and cuddled by her two cats, Jack and Milo.
The Guest Book is expired.
Mary led a marvelous life – from the family cherry orchard in Old Mission to the law quad of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), from the markets of Portland to the mountains of Montana. In every place Mary created family from friends, sharing wry wisdom, laughter, great food, tears and joy. Mary enriched the lives of those around her in more ways than we will ever know.
Mary also gave her time and energy generously to a number of causes, from local schools to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter. Mary continues to help others by donating her body to the WWAMI program, to further medical education. For this, and so many other reasons, we are proud to have known Mary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in her name to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, PO Box 11390, Bozeman, MT 59719, a place near and dear to Mary's heart.
Mary is greatly missed. She brought out the best in everyone.
