AUBURN, N.Y. - Mary Frances Maneri Loperfido, 89, the widow of the late John Loperfido, of Auburn, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Auburn Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mary was born Oct. 30, 1922 in Auburn, to immigrant parents Frank and Carmella Maneri. She attended Auburn schools and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. Until her retirement in 1982, Mary had been employed for 22 years at the General Electric company in Auburn.

She is survived by four sons, Dr. John (Bonnie) Loperfido, of Stillwater, Minn., Joseph (Margaret) Loperfido, of Lewiston, Idaho, Michael (Debra) Loperfido, of Auburn, N.Y., Bernie (Lynne) Loperfido, of Weedsport; three daughters, Katherine (Ray) Atteberry, of Bozeman, Frances (Bruce Sr.) Watkins, of Auburn, and Margaret Loperfido Savino, of Auburn; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition of her husband, John, who she married Sept. 5, 1942, and her parents, Mary is predeceased by three brothers, Peter, Charles and Anthony; and a sister, Sister Francis Maneri.

Services were held last week in Auburn, N.Y.
