Mary Kirsten Anderson was born May 3, 1941, in Bozeman to Paul and Edith (Waterman) Anderson. She was the maternal great-granddaughter of Gallatin Valley pioneers, Christopher H. and Catherine (Boyle) Waterman and William H. and Ellen (Flannery) Arnold.

She graduated from Bozeman Senior High School and Montana State University.

She retired from teaching math in Jefferson County, Colo., in 1999.

She passed away on June 4, 2009, in Wheat Ridge, Colo.

She is survived by her children, Jason M. Lammers of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Crista Lammers Hankinson of Lakewood, Colo.; three granddaughters, Valerie Alexandrine Lammers, Sofia Paulina Lammers and the upcoming arrival of Mya Kirsten Hankinson.
