Mary Reller, 67, of Belgrade - Mom, Grandmother, Sister and Friend - passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, after a fight with cancer. Mary was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Dallas, Ore., to Ferd and Lydia Reller.

Mary lived in Oregon until 1954, when she and her family moved to Belgrade to help build Yellowstone Pine Lumber Company. She graduated from Belgrade High School in 1959.

In 1962, she married Norman Welch and had two children.

Mom's greatest pride and joy were her daughter and her son. Mary was a loving and caring mom. She never missed a school program or sporting event that her children were involved with.

Mary enjoyed reading, playing games, and listening to music. Mary also loved camping with her children. One of her greatest pleasures in life was spending time on the beaches of Oregon; she loved to beach comb and collect seashells. Tracing her family tree also gave her great enjoyment.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and two nephews.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Terri Welch; son, Matt (Jodi) Welch; brother, Jerry (Muriel) Reller; sister, Dee Feddes; and granddaughters, Jade (Rafael) Goncalves, Caroline Holler, and Cassie Holler.

A gathering in Mary's honor will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the home of her son, Matt Welch, 94 Kermit Court, Belgrade. All friends and family are invited.

Memorials may be made in Mary's name to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 301 Edelweiss Drive, Suites 5 & 6, Bozeman, MT 59718; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
