Mary was a friend to everyone she met and always willing to help anyone in need. Her favorite activities were playing with her dogs, bird watching, hunting and cooking/baking. Mary loved the holidays and decorated extensively for them. She also enjoyed being a member of the Plentywood Quilting Club. She was a dispatcher in West Yellowstone for 18 years but her favorite job was the After School Program where she pampered and showered love on all the children. Her selflessness will be very missed by her family and community.
She is survived by her husband Roy Vaessen, mother, Jean Fairweather, children; Pam (Dana) Carlson, Becky (Bob) Snyder, Kathy (Mark) Peterson and her adopted children; LD and Janita. Grandchildren; Brad, Casey, Elizabeth, Paige, Jeanna, Andy, Kelsey and Great-grandchild Riley. Her siblings were very important to her; Linda (David) Etzwiler and Bill (Cynthia) Fairweather.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Bill Fairweather and daughter, Peggy.
