Michael James Nicholson, 38, of Livingston passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 in Bozeman.

Michael was born Aug. 15, 1973 to Tom and Laura Nicholson in Livingston. He attended school in Livingston and enjoyed athletics. He graduated from Park High School in 1992.

Mike very much loved his wife, Janie and his stepsons, Ronnie and Corey Flack. He was also a very loving uncle, brother and son. His primary occupation was working with concrete and at the time of his death he was also employed by the Murray Bar.

Mike was an independent thinker and a kind and gentle soul. He usually had a grin on his face and a warm welcome from his heart for everyone he encountered; he genuinely cared for and enjoyed people.

Michael was preceded in death by his younger brother, Charlie, and is survived by his wife, Janie; stepsons, Ronnie and Corey; parents, Laura and Tom Nicholson; mother and father in-law, Peg Fessenden and Peanut Burgess; brothers, Samuel (Jen) and Patrick (Jen); and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at American Lutheran Church in Livingston, with a reception following at the Elk's Club. Arrangements by Stenberg Funeral Home of Big Timber.
