Misty Ann "Biz" Burke, 26, passed away July 14, 2008, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1981 in Butte, the second daughter of Diana L. (Simpson) and Kenneth L. Burke.

Misty was educated in Sheridan, graduating high school with honors in 2000. In high school she was a member of the National Honor Society, the FCCLA and 4-H. She was the basketball team manager for four years, also known as "Mom."
After graduation she furthered her education in the airline industry in Daytona Beach, Fla., later going on to Phoenix, Ariz., where she graduated again with honors as a flight attendant for America West Airlines.
She later returned home to work for the Ruby Valley Hospital and clinics. Misty also worked for a time with the American Red Cross as well as Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
She will be remembered as a classy girl who was very organized and all "business," but also had a very big loving heart. She had vast collection of Barbie dolls, and one of her favorite pastimes was her coloring books. Misty wrote an extensive collection of poems and short stories. She will also be remembered for the love of her family where she shared her "I love Lucy" videos during "Family Movie Night." Misty loved spending time and was very close to her numerous cousins, and her Hero and best friend, Amanda.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joan Simpson Jo Jo; her grandmother, Joan Burke.
Misty is survived by her mother, Diana Burke of Bozeman; father, Ken (Lisa) Burke of Sheridan; sister, Amanda Burke (Robert Muffett) of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Kelsie Burke of Sheridan; brothers, Jeremy Pierce Burke and Brandon Burke, both of Sheridan; grandfathers, John Simpson (Sue) of Bozeman, Jerry Burke of Sheridan; grandmother, Muriel Felker of Sheridan; her mentor and close friend, Fawn Felker of Bozeman; and her boyfriend, Scotch Stephens of Bozeman. Misty was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the new elementary school auditorium in Sheridan, Mont. Burial will follow in the Ruby Valley.
Memorials in Misty's name may be made to a fund that has been set up at the Ruby Valley Bank of Sheridan, Mont.
