Patricia A. Kolberg, 61, of Toston passed away May 22, 2007, at her residence. Pat was born Sept. 26, 1946, to John and Lenora (Mathis) Smith inTownsend.

She attended grade school in Toston then graduated from Broadwater County High School in 1964. After graduating, she married Arnold J. Kolberg on June 6, 1964, inToston.

They farmed and ranched together in the Crow Creek Valley. Pat helped manage and was secretary/treasurer for the Toston Irrigation District. She had just retired from the Toston Volunteer Fire Department.

She enjoyed many hobbies such as ceramics, painting, gardening, sewing and her biggest passion cooking. Pat was known to all around as "Grandma Pat" because she was constantly watching someone's children. She loved people in general. Pat was always there for people and she just could not say no to anyone.

Pat lived and worked everyday all year in anticipation of her yearly trek to Alaska with Arnie, Alaska was her heaven on earth.

She is survived by her husband Arnie, Toston, daughters JoAnn Kolberg and Jody Kolberg both of Toston, Jill Kolberg of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jeri Kolberg of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; her father John Smith of Toston; sisters Sarah Young of Oregon, Judy (Dan) Fowler of Oregon, Karen (Brad) Murfitt of Helena, Mary (Marlin) Styren of Choteau, Jackie (Brian) Kimpton of Toston; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Lenora.

Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Connors Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Bunkhouse Bar in Toston. Connors Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
