Patricia Ann Diede, 78, of Bozeman passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. She was born Feb. 13, 1936, in Hankinson, N.D. When Pat was three years old, she was adopted by Herman and Vivian (Whiting) Wilshusen.
She graduated from Ada High School in Minnesota in 1953. Pat worked as a hospital aide in Fargo, N.D., during which time she met Arnold Diede. The two were married May 8, 1955. In February of 1959, Pat and Arnold moved to Bozeman, where Arnold purchased a barber shop. They had three sons, Rocky, Scott and Mick. Once the boys were all in junior high, Pat began working in the laundry at the hospital where she worked for 19 years.
Pat was a member of Grace Bible Church since 1959. She also taught Sunday School for over 45 years to the two year olds. She enjoyed collecting plates from each state that she traveled to, and she loved flowers.
Pat is survived by her husband, Arnold Diede; sons, Rocky Diede, Scott (Rose) Diede, and Mick (Kris) Diede; grandchildren, Valerie, Joshua, Anthony, Kelly, and Christopher; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-sister, Winifred.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, with interment to follow at Fort Harrison Veterans Cemetery in Helena. Should friends desire, memorials in Pat's name may be made to Mission Aviation Fellowship, P.O. Box 47, Nampa, ID 83653.
