Paul H. Ryan of Nampa, Idaho died on Sept. 18, 2012 at a local hospital. Paul lived his early years in Kinzua, Ore. His family moved to The Dalles, Ore. in 1943 and he graduated from The Dalles High school in 1946. He received degrees from Multnomah College of the Bible, Lewis and Clark University, Western Baptist Seminary in Portland, Ore. and McCormick Seminary in Chicago, Ill.

In 1964, he married Nida Jean Clark of Naches, Wash. and they moved to Manhattan, Mont., where he served the church communities of Pony-Harrison, Ennis, and Manhattan concurrently as a pastor for many years. He operated the Valley Sanitation service until 1981 and he and his family moved to Oregon in 1983. He spent the next several years as a minister in Maryhill, Wash. In 1999, Paul and Nida moved to Grandview, Idaho and pastored the Knight Community church for 10 years. He retired in 2009 and in his later years, he enjoyed preaching at the Lighthouse Mission in Nampa, Idaho.
He is survived by his wife, Nida Jean of 48 years; children, Laurie Ray (Morey) of Lewistown, Mont.; Steve Ryan (Tiffany) of Hood River, Ore.; Loise Bowling (Mike) of Benton, Ky.; and Tim C. Ryan (Sandy) of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Beverly Francis (William) of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, Milton Ryan (Beverly) of Dallas, Texas and Ronald Ryan (Donna) of Centralia, Wash.; 9 grandchildren – Timothy, Rachel and Nolan Ryan; Morgan, Marissa and Maxx Ray; and Gillian, Ian and Regan Ryan and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Virginia Ryan, brother, Lawrence Ryan and sister, Miriam Doblie.
