March 3, 1962 – Sept. 3, 2014

On Sept. 3, 2014, Penny Marie Towner of Belgrade passed away. Penny was born and raised in Belgrade and grew up riding her ponies on her dad's old pig farm. She married Brad Towner and had two children, Nicholas and Stephanie. Penny was able to be a dedicated stay-at-home mother and a good one at that. When she did get away, they would take yearly vacations to San Diego, Calif. Penny enjoyed these trips so much; she knew some day she would retire and move there.

Once Stephanie was in school, Penny started a job for the Belgrade School District. She loved her job. She knew every kid by name and they all called her Ms. Penny. She worked for the Belgrade Schools for almost 20 years.

After Penny retired, she became a dedicated caretaker for her mother, Ginger Reiser, and her grandson, Tristyn or her "Little Man."

Penny was easy-going and never judged people. She loved her children more than anything in the world, and she made sure they knew that. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

Penny is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Towner, and grandson, Tristyn; son, Nicholas Towner; grandmother, Pauline Martin; brother, Dale Reiser; sister, Terri Ehresman McCollim; and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ginger Reiser; and her granddaughter, Chloe Ginger Carnefix.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. We will commemorate her free-spirit at the River Rock Community Center following the burial.

Penny was a special woman full of fun and love. We love you, Penny.
