Our loving grandfather, father and friend entered Heaven early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2008, following a short illness.
The Guest Book is expired.
Peter Janelli, 90, was born in New Providence, N.J., on Jan. 15, 1918, and grew up in California.
Pete lived a very active and full life up until just a few weeks ago. He moved to Belgrade three years ago, where his favorite activity was dancing. Pete loved dancing at the Belgrade and Bozeman senior centers to the Old Time Country Players (featuring his daughter, Rita), as well as driving himself to Whitehall on Sunday afternoons for dancing to live music at Bordens.
Poppi leaves behind four children: Rita (Sam) Jackson of Belgrade, Pete, Judy and Gina. Poppi was very proud of his 11 grandchildren, including Jeff (Susan) Jackson, Troy (Tammy) Jackson, Jody (Chad) Cameron, Dana Gordon, Chad (Becky) Jackson; 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Poppi will be dearly missed by all.
There will be no services locally. He will be interred in Fresno, Calif.
Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service; www.dokkennelson.com.
