Raymond A. Schultz, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Bozeman to Chester and Letta (Grove) Schultz.

Raymond graduated from Gallatin County High School.

He married Dorothy Burns, and they had four children. They later divorced.

Raymond worked as a farmer, farming southwest of Bozeman. He was also a ditch rider for Farmers & Klein-Schmidt Canals.

In 1988 he married Norma Armstrong at their home in Bozeman.

Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee at the local coffee shop.

Raymond is survived by his children, Edward (Debbie) Schultz, Nancy (Charles) Cruff, Beverly Lyons; two stepsons, Crockett (Alice) Nash, John (Debbie) Nash; eight grandchildren, Kari West (Glen Alexander), Julie Schultz, Brian (Jenny) Schultz, Denny Bowden, Debbie Bowden, Jason Lingard, Justin Haines, Nikki Haines; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Martha Schultz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Schultz; his sister, Gladys Barclay; as well as his brothers, Lester and Howard Schultz.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
