Richard "Dick" Fulcher, 66, of Bozeman, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
The Guest Book is expired.
Dick was born January 4, 1943, in Bozeman, to Charles and Evelyn Fulcher. He grew up in Four Corners, attending Monforton Grade School. He had a good, old-fashioned upbringing and graduated from Bozeman Senior High School in 1961.
In 1963, he enlisted in the Air Force, serving time in Vietnam before he was honorably discharged in 1967. After his discharge, he went to college to study electrical engineering. He worked at the State of Montana Appraisal Office until 1987. At that point, he moved to Seattle, Wash. He spent two years there before returning home to Bozeman. Dick married Janet Lackey in Dillon on December 1, 1990. Dick worked building houses until his retirement in January of 2009.
Dick loved to go "thumping" around Montana, visiting small towns across the state. He was fascinated by ghost towns and Montana history. He loved to fish, even though he never caught any. He thoroughly enjoyed picnics with his family.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Willson and Charles Fulcher and siblings, Dodi Christopherson and Phillip Fulcher.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; brothers, Robert (Mary) Fulcher, of Prescott, Ariz., and Larry (Donna) Fulcher of Bozeman; stepchildren, Darla Larson of Churchill, and David Lackey(Riki) of Great Falls; and grandchildren, Kaylee, Maci, Collyn, Brandyn and Ryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, May 15, 2009, at Foothills Fellowship Church.
