Robert Darwin Leithead, 79, passed away in Yuma, Ariz., Saturday, March 31, 2012. Bob was born Oct. 13, 1932, and was raised in Ten Sleep, Wyo. Bob married Mary-Alice Riddle on March 27, 1953. They raised their family in West Yellowstone, where Bob and Mary-Alice operated their own plumbing and appliance business, West Service Center.

After retiring, they moved to Joliet, Mont., and also spent the winter months at their home in Yuma. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Among many other community activities, he served on the West Yellowstone Cemetery Board, volunteer EMT/ambulance driver for West Yellowstone, and as president of the Lions Club.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary-Alice; brother, Scott, Basin, Wyo.; daughter, Cynthia McDonnell (Tim), Roberts, Mont.; sons, Steven (Heidi), Park City, Utah; Donnie (Rachel), Liberty Hill, Texas; and Troy, West Yellowstone; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva Darwin and Leoma Klaus Leithead; brother, Gerald; and two infant sons.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held in West Yellowstone at the LDS Ward Chapel, 310-320 Gibbon Avenue, on June 2, 2012, at 11 a.m.
