Robert Dean Snyder, 62, of Manhattan quietly passed on to his eternal reward on May 25, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born to Wesley and Nellie (Anderson) Snyder on April 22, 1945, in Bozeman. He graduated from Manhattan High in 1963 and attended Montana State University in Bozeman, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

Bob worked as a Research Assistant at the Bozeman MSU Plant and Soil Department for over 25 years. More recently, he worked in the Department of Earth Sciences and Geographical Information Systems.

Bob enjoyed hiking in the mountains with his nieces and nephews, whom he dearly admired. As a very devout Christian, he loved being active in his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the Reverend and Mrs. Wesley Snyder; a brother, Wayne; a sister, Pauline McKinney and a nephew, Mark Snyder.

Bob is survived by his sister, Jayne Wester, and his brothers, Paul David Snyder Sr. and Wesley Howard Snyder Jr., besides a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Big Timber, Montana.
