Robert E. Wahl, 85, of Belgrade passed away May 18, 2010.

Robert was born Nov. 22, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Oscar and Lydia (Zahn) Wahl.
After grade school, he attended one year of high school, before joining the Army National Guard, where he served as a mechanic for more than 32 years. After retiring, he continued to work as a farmer and construction worker.
Robert married Dorothy Kagel on Jan. 13, 1957, in Bozeman, and the couple went on to raise four children in Belgrade.
Robert enjoyed all kinds of hobbies and was an accomplished woodworker. He was Weblow leader, worked for the Belgrade Fire Department, a member of the Belgrade Senior Center, and served on the Belgrade City Council.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Harold and Donald Wahl; sister, Virginia Fadvess; and uncle, Alfred Zahn.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Wahl of Belgrade; sons, Robert (Patti) Wahl, Tim (Debbie) Wahl, and David (Jackie) Wahl; daughter, Jacque (Tom) Marble; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy would like to especially thank all of the loving family for all their support.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Sunset Hills Cemetery. A reception will follow at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service, 113 S. Willson Ave., Bozeman.
