Roberta P. Dudley, 90, of Bozeman passed away Dec. 1, 2007. She was born April 7, 1917, in Bozeman to Robert S. and Margaret M. (Walker) Yetsinga.

She attended elementary school in Bozeman and two years at Gallatin County High School. She completed her high school education in Mount Vernon, Wash., where she graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1935.
She then attended Skagit County Junior College for two years, Skagit Business College for one year, and Skagit County Beauty College for one year.
Roberta returned to Bozeman in 1944 where she became the first owner and operator of a drive-in restaurant in Bozeman, on North Seventh Avenue, named "Roberta's."
In 1945, she and her mother, Margaret (Walker) Thomas, purchased the Bridger Club which they operated until 1960. She then purchased the AMC Game Machine Route which she renamed the D & R Amusement Co. and operated it for many years.
Roberta married Charles "Chuck" Dudley on March 17, 1967, in Santa Barbara, Calif. They purchased the Western Vending Co. in Missoula in 1975 and operated it for four years.
She eventually returned to Bozeman where she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Riverside Country Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Bozeman Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing and traveling, and loved her dogs and horses.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Chuck, in December 1990; several cousins; and a granddaughter, Jami.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Diane "Davi" Hawk of Grants Pass, Ore., and Peggy (Robert) Huntoon of Medford, Ore.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and by several cousins.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Sunset Hill Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
