RON "OSCAR" SCHNEIDER
Ron "Oscar" Schneider started his next adventure Dec. 10, 2013. He was born on "Friday the 13th" (May 13, 1949) to Rudolph and Mary Schneider in Bozeman where he resided his whole life.
Ron coached 7/8 grade basketball and soccer; however, his passion was coaching 10-12 year old baseball. For 45 years he mentored and taught life lessons to thousands of young baseball players. Ron led many teams to win local and state tournaments, but more importantly he was able to touch each of the players' lives in a positive manner. Ron had a story for each of the players he coached and talked about them often.
Ron was an avid traveler (mostly in the western USA by automobile). He photographed his favorite scenes and wildlife to share his adventures with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron is survived by his brothers, Jerry (Jessica Loyd-Rogers), Rudy (Sue) and Joe (Thia Barnes); sister, Mary Nunn (Nathan); nieces, Heather Larcombe (Tom), Megan Schneider (Pat) and Cathy Nunn; nephews, Matt Schneider (Ariel), Andy Schneider, John Schneider and James Nunn; his best friends, Craig Claus, Larry Aasheim and "Oscar's" Universal Athletic family which he held dear to his heart.
In lieu of a memorial service Ron asked donations be made to The Salvation Army or Shodair Children's Hospital.
