Ruby Eileen Jones, 89, of Manhattan, Mont. died March 26, 2012 at Park Haven Assisted Living.

She was born March 23, 1923 in Dill, Okla. to JJ and Hattie (Donica) Ayres.

Ruby graduated from Wheeler High School. She married Arnold "fat" Jones on Aug. 4, 1940. She was a homemaker and later was a beautician and co-owner of Wheeler Beauty Salon.

After the children were grown, she and her husband were apartment managers in Amarillo, Lubbock, Irving, Austin, El Paso, Midland, and Colorado Springs, Colo. They retired and moved back to Wheeler.

A year after the death of her husband, Ruby moved to Three Forks where she made many new wonderful friends.

Ruby was a member of Wheeler Church of Christ for many years and Three Forks Church of Christ, at the time of her death.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold "fat" Jones; her parents; four brothers; two sisters; an infant son, James Arnold; and daughters, Marilyn Kay, and Mary Murphy.

Survivors include two daughters, Tricia (John) Richardson of Bozeman, and Brenda (Jack) Sparlin of Wheeler, Texas; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A service and burial will be held at the Wheeler Church of Christ at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012. A memorial service will take place at the Three Forks Church of Christ in Three Forks at 6:30 p.m. Thursday April 5, 2012.
