Ruth Lessley, 83, of Bozeman passed away on July 4, 2015. Ruth was born on Dec. 7, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hyrum and Ethel Hendrickson. She was raised in Salt Lake City and it was there that she met and later married her husband, Sherman Lessley, on Aug. 29, 1953.

In addition to raising children, Ruth worked at the MSU photo lab as a darkroom technician, she was an aid in surgery at the hospital, and she performed data entry at both Life of Montana and Intercity Radiology.

Ruth enjoyed sewing, cooking, time with family, and also playing softball.

Besides their seven children, Ruth and Sherman were blessed with 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Ruth will be remembered most as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sherman, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Barb (Jim) Jones, Mickey (Wendy) Lessley, Jay Blair, Tom (Diane) Lessley, and Terry Lessley, all from Bozeman, and Jim (Cindy) Lessley of Texas, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Per Ruth's wishes, no services will be held.
