Sallie Wallace Dasinger passed away July 17, 2009, at Thousand Oaks, Calif., following a valiant battle with cancer. She was 67.

Born May 11, 1942, in Townsend to Howard S. and Rubye (Olsen) Wallace, she grew up attending schools in Townsend and Bozeman. Sallie graduated from Bozeman Senior High School in 1960, and continued her higher education in Montana and California. She became an educator and taught in Canoga Park, Calif., for 20 years, retiring in 2006.
She is survived by Mark Dasinger of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Andrew (Stacy) Dasinger of Fallbrook, Calif., Jay (Cory) Dasinger of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Julie (Sergio) Avanto of Orange, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Ashley, Colby and Olivia Dasinger. She is also survived by her sisters, Dona Wallace of Bozeman, Shirley (Dean) Miller of Belgrade, Laura (Ray) Jones of Helena, Bette (Larry) Moore of Mojave Valley, Ariz.; and her brother, Jerry (Margret) Wallace of Highland, Ind.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Swigert; parents, Howard S. and Rubye (Olsen) Wallace, Janie (Wallace) Code, and Robert Wallace.
Her remains were cremated in California.
A memorial will be held in Montana later this summer.
