Sandra Alice Tetro, 53, died after a long battle with cancer on July 2, 2014 in Bozeman.

Sandra was born Feb. 22, 1961 to Archibald and Alexandria Tetro. Born in the West, she spent many years living in the East only to return to the West she loved, living in Montana for 22 years.

Sandra and her brother had car trouble, while on a trip across the country and were stranded in Bozeman for a week and decided to move and make it home.

Sandra worked for Montana State University as a library technician for almost 22 years. She loved walking, traveling, taking photos, reading and learning new things. She loved movies and knew many movie lines by heart, and she loved all kinds of handicrafts especially crocheting and knitting. She especially loved reading and studying history, archaeology and historic/period costumes (clothing).

Sandra loved being a sister to Bob, a daughter to her parents and loved her family and her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, older sister, Shirley, and nephew, Steven.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Tetro of Bozeman; nieces, Donna Pursley of N. Branford, Conn., and Sally Daigle of Southington, Conn.; a cousin, Barbara Pasatore of Branford, Conn.; two aunts, and numerous other cousins, great-nephews and a great-niece.

All prayers, cards, visits and phone calls during her illness were much appreciated and remembered. Thank you to friends, doctors, nurses, and medical staff for their help and care.

Sandra especially loved animals, especially her cat, and would like memorials to go to the Heart of the Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 11390, Bozeman, MT 59719.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Graveside committal and burial of the ashes at Sunset Hills Cemetery will follow the service.
