Sandra "Sandy" Arlene Pinkerton, 74, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her home on Kruse Creek, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Sandy was born to William and Margaret (Maykuth) Watson on May 1, 1940, in Bozeman. She married Luman Pinkerton on June 11, 1958. They were blessed with three children.

She worked at Valmers Meat Packing Plant in Bozeman, ranched in Wilsall, Legerski's Meat Plant, and later retired from Spring Creek after 19 years.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 56 years; her children, Robbie (Garth) Isbell of Wilsall, Shelly (Jim) Goggins of Bridger, Montana, and Bill (Lanette) Pinkerton of Buffalo, Wyoming; grandchildren, Mariesa Isbell of Nashville, Tennessee, Coy Goggins of Pyor, Montana, Cora (Travis) Clark-Frazier of Billings and a great-granddaughter, Payton of Billings.

Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June, 18, 2014, at the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman. A Celebration of Life gathering, with family and friends, will follow immediately at an announced venue. There will also be a Celebration of Life held on Monday, June 23, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Banner Community Hall, 9 Upper Prairie Dog Road, Banner, Wyoming.

Memorials to honor Sandy may be made to the Hospice of the Big Horns at P.O. Box 391, Sheridan, WY 82801, the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter at 84 E. Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801 or to the St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation, Meadowlark House at 1106 N. 30th St., Billings, MT 59101-0127.
