Sandra Kay Heath-Griffin, 62, of Bozeman, Montana, passed away in the evening of June 26, 2016. Sandra was born in Bozeman to parents Tusco Heath and Mary Nelson along with four siblings. Sandra spent her early years in Bozeman, attending Bozeman schools, later finishing high school in Muncie, Indiana, after her father accepted a job as a teacher. Following her graduation, Sandra moved to Michigan to attend Lake State College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree.

Sandra met her husband, Rick Griffin while working as a waitress in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The two were later married in 1982. Together they raised four children; Richard, Baiden, Tawanda, and Coral-Scout. Sandra had a varied and full career, spending 27 years with USPS as a Supervisor. After returning to her hometown of Bozeman with her husband Rick and youngest daughter Coral-Scout, she worked as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. Sandra retired two years ago. She greatly enjoyed gardening and cooking. She will be remembered for her genuine love of those around her, her strong-will, big heart, and innate toughness.
Sandra is survived by her parents Tusco and Mary Nelson; step-mother Alice Knapp; husband Rick Griffin; siblings Liz, Andy (Arlene); Kathy (Mark), and Bob; children Richard, Baiden, Tawanda, and Coral-Scout; four grandchildren with an additional one on the way; and one soon-to-be great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held privately by Sandra's husband Rick Griffin and daughter Coral-Scout, date and time pending.
