Our beautiful beloved, Sarah Ashley Lynds, age 36 was called to be with our Lord on Thursday, Nov. 3 after a sudden illness followed by a very courageous battle.

Sarah was born Feb. 4, 1980 in Truckee, California to Joseph and Carolyn Lynds joining her older sister, Amy. The family moved to Bozeman, Montana when Sarah was nine months old and shortly after her little sister, Emily joined the family making it complete.

Sarah attended Lamotte school grades K-8 where she made many lifelong friends. She graduated from Bozeman High School in 1998 and went on to attend the University of Montana for two years where she proudly participated in Army ROTC. In 2000 she transferred to Montana State University-Bozeman to be closer to family and attend college with her sister. She graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in sociology/criminal justice.

During college and after Sarah worked at Mountain High Espresso as everyone's favorite barista. She met some of her closest friends during this time and was a ray of sunshine to everyone who crossed her path. After college Sarah worked at Gallatin Pre-Release as resident security, a job she was very proud of.

Sarah's huge heart and love for children led her to the career path of Montessori teaching. She began her career at Middle Creek Montessori and has spent nearly the last decade at Highland Montessori dedicated to enriching the lives of children and parents alike.

Sarah's love for her family was immeasurable. She was a best friend to many and all that knew her, knew how true this was. Sarah was a very proud American, loved the outdoors, hooking rainbow trout, shooting guns, camping, soccer, skiing, sunshine, shooting stars, books, music, concerts, coffee, Patagonia, Simms gear, bags, shoes, records, photography, road trips and traveling near and far. Sarah was proud to be born in Truckee and raised in Bozeman; she felt she experienced the best of both worlds. Sarah would give you her last dollar and the shirt off her back if needed. Her kind heart, loving soul and sincere generosity was true and rare.

Sarah is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Carolyn Lynds; sisters, Amy (Joel) Riebli, and Emily Lynds (Wil Bryce); her family dog, Savannah Jo (Savi) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bernard and Nina Lynds, Charles and Elsie (Peggy) Fjelstad, and Tony and Ruby Lynds as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved very much. We know she was greeted in heaven by her dear German Shorthair Pointers, Ruger and Remington.

Sarah will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, there are many.

The Rosary and Vigil will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 9 at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish. The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary.

In lieu of flowers, a Gofundme page has been created to help her family with these unforeseen costs: https://www.facebook.com/brooke.lannon/posts/10207985261334047
