Scott was born in Rapid City, S.D. on June 1, 1963. He was raised in Anchorage, Alaska before moving to Bozeman in 1979 for 20 years before returning to live in Alaska. Scott was known for living each and every day of life to the fullest. He was a Montana State Golden Gloves boxing champion, loved to fish, play horseshoes and enjoyed water sports. His greatest pleasure in life was raising his son, Jayce, and watching him succeed as a youth National Champion wrestler. He couldn't have been a more proud father. Scott was about to marry his fiancé, Lana, and looked forward to joining their families together.
Scott was preceded in death by his father in 2002, John Lindekugel. Scott is survived by his son, Jayce Lindekugel of Belgrade, Mont.; fiancé, Lana Mccrorey and her children, Alisha and Mark Mccrorey of West Jordan, Utah; mother, Cherie Lindekugel of Chugiak, Alaska; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and James Tully of Chugiak, Alaska; sister and brother-in-law, Toni and Jeff Baronski of Clarks Summit, Pa.; brother, Lonnie Lindekugel of Belgrade, Mont.; nephew, Ryan Brooks of Anchorage, Alaska; niece, Katrina Campbell of Anchorage, Alaska; and niece, Kristen Hubble of Eagle River, Alaska.
A service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 7 p.m. at Eagle River Funeral Home, 11046 Chugiak Drive, Eagle River, AK. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bozeman Mat Dogs Wrestling Club, First Interstate Bank 2800 W. Main, Bozeman, MT 59718.
