Susan Jean Yadon went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2010, after an incredibly courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 21, 1960, in Rushville, Neb., to Marguerite and David Widtfeldt and was baptized on Aug. 25, 1968.
Sue grew up on the Jules Sandoz Ranch and moved several times before graduating in Gering, Neb.
In the early '80s she moved to Montana, where she met the love of her life, Kevin Yadon, and they were married Dec. 6, 1984. They were blessed with three beautiful girls that were known as "The Boys" growing up - Holly Rey, Heather Rae and Hailey Rey. Following the births of their children they moved to Winnemucca, Nev., where Sue began her union construction career. She specialized in many areas, still holding and maintaining her MSHA instructor certification as well as her traffic control supervisor (ATSSA) until the time of her death.
Upon her retirement they moved to Thatcher, Ariz., where they made their final home together.
Her hobbies included following her children to their sporting events and paintball tournaments, while enjoying trips to the coast, riding her bike, taking photos and spending time in the backyard with flowers, hummingbirds, kitties and gardening. Her last accomplishment was the oasis in the desert that she and Kevin created together. Her greatest treasures in life were her husband, girls, grandkids and family.

She leaves her husband, Kevin Yadon; daughters, Holly Lyon of Carson City, Nev., Heather Yadon of Reno, Nev., and Hailey Yadon of Thatcher, Ariz.; and grandsons, Hayden and Drake of Carson City, Nev.; her mother, Marguerite; as well as sisters, Annie, Billie Jo and Jonni.
She was preceded in death by her father, David; maternal grandparents, Jules and Mary Sandoz; and paternal grandparents, Helmer and Mary Widtfeldt.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, in the convention center in Winnemucca, Nev.
In lieu of flowers, it is asked that a donation be made in her name to your local hospice care.
