Teresa "Tree" Maureen Ladd, 48, of Four Corners passed away June 7, 2007, outside of Libby. She was born March 25, 1959, in Rawlins, Wyo., a daughter to James and Elizabeth (Nickelson) Richardson.
Tree was raised in Powell, Wyo., and lived in Wyoming until 1980 when she moved to Big Sky. She worked for Golden Eagle Management for Tim and Sally Ryan for more than 10 years; she also worked at the Corral Bar & Café as well as the Half Moon Saloon before opening her own home cleaning business in Big Sky.
She then moved to Bozeman and worked for Reach Inc., as well as being a personal health care provider for Dale and Raymond Ryan. Tree had been an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post No. 99 in Big Sky.
She will be remembered for her green thumb, making her creative dream catchers, her bell collection, her great s'mores, and mostly her infectious laugh and big, big heart. She loved all children; especially her daughters, granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and two brothers, Timothy and Michael.
Tree is survived by her four daughters: Amy and husband, Brian Kimmel of Gallatin Gateway, Karyn McHoes of Four Corners, Deseri Ladd of Billings, and Cassandra Ladd of Belgrade; two granddaughters, Ivy Ladd of Billings, and Audrey Kimmel of Gallatin Gateway; father, Jim Richardson of Four Corners; two brothers, Tony and wife, Bari of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bryan Richardson of Four Corners; sister, Missy and husband, Chris Ahlander of Billings; as well as her nieces and nephews, Cory, Kelsey, Cody, Brittany, Lindsay, Sarah and Darlena; and a large extended family. Tree was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the Big Sky Chapel in Big Sky, with a celebration of her life immediately following.
Memorials may be made to the "Tree Fund" to help her family with funeral expenses, c/o Brian and Amy Kimmel, P.O. Box 489, Gallatin Gateway, MT 59730.
