Passed away Wednesday morning July 22, 2015, in Spokane, Washington. She was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Belgrade, Montana, to James and Elsie (Davis) Francis. Thelma graduated from Manhattan High School in 1954, soon after she graduated she married Robert (Bob) Oliver Cass. Together they had four children, Shirley, Robert, Catherine and David. They raised their children together in Bozeman, Missoula and Polson, Montana, and Battle Ground, Washington.

Thelma loved being around people and working. For years she worked in fabric stores, hardware stores and department stores. She also loved sewing, reading and being with her family and friends. Thelma was known for her love of God and enjoyed reading her bible and sharing God's word to others. She had several ladies bible studies in her home and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Spokane at the time of her passing.
She is survived by the father of her children Robert O. Cass of Battle Ground, Washington; their children Shirley (Mike) Collins of Battle Ground; Robert (Lori) Cass of Kalispell, Montana; Cathy (Bob) Hertz of Spokane and Dave (Mindy) Cass of Spokane; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Barner of Belgrade, Montana, Darlene (Hank) Wruck of Bozeman; brother Carl (Gail) Francis of Twin Bridges, Montana; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service 4 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman, Montana.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, Washington.
