Thomas Frances Morgan, 82, passed away on April 20, 2007, after a short bout with cancer.

Tom was born in Olivia, Minn., on Nov. 27, 1924, to Thomas and Frances Morgan. He grew up in Montana, and after he graduated from high school in Deer Lodge, he worked at the Milwaukee Railroad and Forest Service before joining the Navy.
He served in the Navy Sea Bees in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon his return, he married Rita Beck and went to work for the Montana Fish and Game. He and Rita had four children: Theresa, Michael, Mary Ann and Joyce.
Tom worked and resided at various hatcheries in Montana including Arlee, Anaconda, Lewistown, Big Timber, Emigrant and Bridger.
After retiring from the Fish and Game after 39 years of service, Tom and Rita moved to Livingston to manage a privately owned hatchery at Emigrant. Tom and Rita then moved to Belgrade, where he resided at the time of his death.
Tom was a long-term member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He was active at the Senior Center and with his parish, Valley of Flowers Catholic Church. He loved his family, fishing and hunting.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his son Mike.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; his daughters, Theresa Hobbs of Powell, Wyo., Mary Ann Randall of Lewistown and Joyce Morgan of Missoula; his nine grandchildren and his 14 great-grandchildren.
Tom was greatly loved by all for his great smile and loving personality and will be missed by many.
A vigil service to honor his memory and celebrate his life will be held on at 7 p.m. Monday, with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. and a funeral Tuesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. All services will be held at Valley of Flowers Catholic Church, 609 Quaw, in Belgrade.
