Thomas J. Howard, 54, of 924 Rosehill Drive, Altoona, Pa., died Tuesday at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Dolores (Monahan) Howard and the late Albert Howard. He married Michele G. Long on Feb. 29, 1980, in Nanty Glo, Pa. He and his family lived in Bozeman for many years. He was a member of the local band Sgt. Rock.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Michele; a daughter, Tommi; his mother, Dolores Robertshaw; three brothers: David Howard of Las Vegas, Nev., Joe Skyward of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kevin Howard in Sweden; and two sisters: Mary Beth Hacker-Shipp of Folsom, Calif., and Lynne Gibson of Chico, Calif.

Tom was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Montana State University.

He was employed as a sales representative for Bath Fitter.

Tom was a loving and devoted husband and father. He will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family.
