Thomas L. "Tom" Wegley Sr., 71, of Belgrade passed away at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital on Feb. 3, 2011. He was born in Williston, N.D., on Sept. 30, 1939, to Lester and Eleanor (Metvedt) Wegley.

Tom moved to the Bozeman area in 1974. On April 6, 1993, he married Ellen McHenry in Idaho.

Tom was a card dealer for many years. He most recently worked for Executive Mailing Services of Bozeman picking up mail for the last three and a half years. He retired in June 2010. Tom enjoyed woodworking and was very good at it. He loved to cut firewood and hunt for morel mushrooms. He loved his dog and best friend, Molly. Tom was a very personable and loving person. He was the best dad a son could ever have. We will miss him very much.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Ron Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; sons, Tom Jr. (Jamie) Wegley of Belgrade and Greg (Tammy) Oldenberg of Minnesota; daughters, Elaine of Las Vegas, Nev., LaDonna (Bill) of Bozeman, Mitzi (Steve) of Bozeman, Chrisie of Spokane, Wash., and Sheril of Washington; sister, LaVonne (Roy) Brown of Yuma, Ariz.; brother, Ken Wegley of Nevada; 12 grandchildren, Tommy Wegley III, AJ and Jordan Tafur, Branigan, Kale, Jordan, Brownell, Nichole Swartz, Daffney Swartz, Magan, Breanna and Lauran; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
