Verda Mae (Rowton-Keith) Loebs, 71, of Three Forks passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, in Yuma, Ariz., after battling a long illness.

Verda, the oldest of seven children, was born on April 6, 1936, at Mosby, Mont., to Parley and Alma (Ellis) Rowton.
Verda is survived by her mother, Alma Rowton of Billings; husband, Darwin "Butch" Hartmann of Three Forks; son, Claude (Debbie) Keith of Bridger; son, Kevin (Tasha) Keith of Winnett; daughter, Judy (Dan) Elliott of Three Forks; stepson, Tad (Tanja) Tsukamoto of Bozeman; brother, Vernon (Donna) Rowton of Mosby; brother, Lloyd (Marion) Rowton of Mosby; sister, Janice (Bob) Monaco of King City, Ore.; sister, Phyllis (Jack)Herman of Maple Valley, Wash.; sister, Rhoda (Bob) Miller of Billings. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Clyde (Brittany), Kasey, Crystal, Codi, Amber (Jordan), Chase, Kaden, Charlie, and Anna Keith, Jessie and Jenna (Jason) Elliott, Kaden, Kira, and Mari Tsukamoto; and two great-grandchildren, Tucker Keith and Cara Brien; and by many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Clyde; father, Parley; husband, Carl "Jack" Keith; husband, Donald Loebs; youngest brother, Gerald; and daughter-in-law Cara, (Kipf) Keith.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held in the spring, time and place to be announced at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association, the American Cancer Association, or to a charity of the sender's choice.
