On July 26, 2015, we lost our dear friend and brother Weldon Robert Rash Jr. Weldon, "Junior" to his family, was born in New Plymouth, Idaho, Jan. 19, 1931, to Weldon and Iris Rash. He attended school in Menan, Idaho. After school he joined the army, serving for three years. Weldon retired from Schlage Lock Co. after 20 years. In 2002 he moved to Bozeman to be closer to family. He is survived by two brothers, Keith and Eric Rash of Twin Bridges. We remember him as an adventurous spirit who loved traveling the world, taking in all kinds of art and music, hiking and working out at the gym, and exploring new restaurants. He loved the outdoors, mostly fishing on the rivers of Montana. His openness and generosity helped him make friends all over the globe. A connoisseur of the performing arts, Weldon enjoyed the symphony, opera, ballet, and theater. Weldon will also be long remembered as a generous philanthropist and patron of the arts.
