SHERIDAN - Wendy McLaughlin, 51, of Reno, Nev., formerly of Sheridan, passed away in her sleep Nov. 5, 2009.

Wendy was born March 28, 1958, in Riverside, Calif., to Joe and Pat McLaughlin. She attended Sheridan schools and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1976.
She attended MSU-Northern in Havre, then embarked on a career as a med tech, working at medical laboratories and drawing blood for various companies in Montana, Idaho and Nevada. She was a devoted Christian who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her son, Ian.
Her hobbies included painting, photography, attending sporting events, fly-fishing, and reading the Bible.
She is survived by her son, Ian Turek; her father and stepmother, Joe and Carol McLaughlin of Sheridan; sister, Cindy McLaughlin of Dillon; brothers, Dan (Nadine) McLaughlin of Wayne, Neb., Jeff (Janet) McLaughlin of Omaha, Neb., Mark (Kaye) McLaughlin, also of Sheridan; and special niece and friend, Jody (Steve) Walker of Reno.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat, in 2004.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at New Beginnings Christian Church in Sheridan, the Rev. Rob Crippen officiating. Interment will follow in Sheridan Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
