William C. (Bill) Scobie was welcomed into the arms of the Lord Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013. Bill was born June 4, 1945 to Rose and Art Scobie.

At a young age he developed a true love and appreciation of nature and the mystery of Montana and its mountains which seeped deep into his soul and stayed with him always.

As a truly charismatic individual, Bills' keen sense of humor and storytelling gifted family, friends, business associates and strangers alike. Always true to his values, he was a person of unimpeachable integrity. The friendships he formed were many, strong and lasted a lifetime.

A man of sharp intellect and refined management skills, Bill was a true success in his business relationships, including managing territories that encompassed the entire U.S. along with his own private enterprises. He owned and operated several businesses over the course of his lifetime.

He met the love of his life, Peggy, and married her in 1981. Bill and Peg felt blessed to have had a long and beautiful life together that was enriched with family and friends. Their love, trust and faithfulness for each other was unsurpassed.

Bill was very proud of his 27 years association with Friends of Bill W. The principles of the program formed the foundation of his life and he lived those principles to the best of his ability each and every day.

Per Bills' wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 between 1 and 4 p.m. at 134 Bennett Dr., Bozeman.
