William E. Lindsay, 74, of Bozeman passed away June 16, 2010, at Mountain View Care Center.

William was born Oct. 20, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ira and Alice (Askew) Lindsay.

After high school, he enlisted in the Army and served until 1962.

In 1985, he moved to Bozeman and worked as a cook at the Cowboy Cafe. Later on, he went to work as a cook at the Haufbrau until retiring five years ago.

He enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He was also very musically inclined, playing the accordion and piano.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and older sister, Mae.

William is survived by his brothers, David (Judy) Lindsay of Belgrade, and Robert (Susan) Lindsay of Radarsburg; and sisters, Helene (Jon) Kanolos, and Kathleen (Henry) Rodriguez, both of Salt Lake City, Utah. Also surviving are his special friend, Lela Coates, and many other special friends including the Frye Family, family from the Haufbrau; good friends, Anthony and Jake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.
