Wilma Juanita (Herndon) Harrison, 85, passed away Sept. 9, 2014 in Bozeman. She was one of 11 children born in Bozeman to Pearl W. Herndon and Goldie Leona (Francis) Herndon Van Horssen. They moved to Manhattan, Mont. when she was six weeks old where she attended grade school and two years of high school.

In the 1930s, Wilma joined the Girl Scouts in Manhattan. She played the violin, later the saxophone, and tried the piano for a while. Wilma waited tables for her aunt beginning her sophomore year of high school and continued for 54 years until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed the association with people very much. Wilma joined the VFW Auxiliary in 1952, the Rebekah Lodge and Friendship Club in 1956, and became a member of the Manhattan Bible Church in 2004.

Wilma married Raymond Harrison on Aug. 6, 1946. Her three children, Bob, Linda (Mike Armold), Ray Jr. (Jackie), and her husband were her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and in 2012, her husband, Raymond. Wilma is survived by her three children; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and six great-great-grandchildren; and her last surviving sibling, Marguerite Campbell of Richland, Wash.

Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at Meadow View Cemetery with a celebration of life to follow at 2 p.m. at Manhattan Bible Church.
